Make a real difference to a young person's life.
We're always interested in hearing from people who want to support children and young people. The work is challenging and genuinely rewarding, and we look for people with the right values as much as the right experience.
Who we're looking for
- A genuine commitment to young people's safety and wellbeing.
- Patience, resilience and the ability to stay calm in a crisis.
- Professional curiosity, the instinct to notice and follow up on concerns.
- Respect for every young person's identity, culture and faith.

What we ask for
As a minimum we look for a Level 2 qualification in health and social care, the children and young people's workforce or an equivalent field, together with safeguarding training, or a clear willingness to complete it. Experience of working with young people is highly valued.
Safer recruitment
RBJ is committed to safeguarding. All our roles involve working with children, so they are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and require an Enhanced DBS check with the Children's Barred List. We take up references, verify identity and right to work, and check full employment history. These checks are completed before anyone starts.
