Referrals
Making a placement with RBJ.
We welcome referrals from local authorities and placing teams. We aim to respond quickly, including for emergency and crisis placements, and to be straightforward about whether we can meet a young person's needs safely.
Who we support
Young people aged 16 to 17 in care or leaving care, including those who are homeless and owed a duty. We assess every referral against our admission criteria and complete an impact risk assessment so that a new placement is safe for the young person and for others already living there.
How to refer
- Contact us with the young person's details and needs.
- We review the referral against our admission criteria and complete an impact risk assessment.
- We confirm whether we can offer a placement and agree the support and reporting with you.
- We plan a safe admission, with the paperwork and introductions in place.
What's included
- Safe, furnished accommodation and a key worker.
- A personalised support plan and agreed support hours.
- Regular reporting and close contact with the social worker or personal adviser.
- A location and area risk assessment available on request.
